SAUBLE FALLS PROVINCIAL PARK – OCTOBER 2009

We camped at Sauble Falls Provincial Park the second week of October in 2009. This was one of my favorite parks we’ve camped at so far. Our site was fairly large and easy to back into. The washrooms were clean as was the campground itself. It was cool outside with frost every morning, but fall is my favorite time of year.

We took a day trip to Southhampton, Sauble Beach, Port Elgin and MacGregor Point Provincial Park. Here’s some photos from the trip:

 

I hiked the Sauble Falls Trail alone since Dave had a cold and didn’t feel up to it. The trail was an easy 2km of an incredible mix of colour in the forest. Here are some pictures:

 

Our last morning at the park we woke up to a heavy frost. It was cold. Here are some pictures of the frost:
