Point Farms Provincial Park – September 2015

Campsite #207
We chose Point Farms Provincial Park to be the location of our second RVing in Canada Facebook group potluck. It was one of our last trips out with our Spree and the site we had was awesome! Lots of room for our Spree and all the potluck guests! The privacy on the campsite side was great, but not much on the campground road side. It was grassy with a nice level pad, so no complaints at all.
This was our first visit to Point Farms and we really liked the park. We biked a bit and walked to the beach. The trail to the beach had a lot of stairs, but it was a nice walk under the forest canopy. The weather was excellent as it usually is for fall camping. Here are some beach photos:
We didn’t have a lot of time at the park but we had so much fun meeting new RVing in Canada group members and revisiting with friends we’d met before and camped with. Our potluck was a huge success! I’ve never seen so much food! We had two large picnic tables filled and two folding tables that people brought. After the food everyone hung around the campfire and visited. It was such a great time and I’m so happy to say that everyone has made new friends and continue to meet up and camp together on their own besides the group potlucks! Here are some photos:
Point Farms is absolutely a park we’d return to. There seemed to be lots of sites that would accommodate our new fifth wheel. The park was very, very beautiful! As mentioned earlier, we didn’t have a lot of time to hike or explore the park other than on a couple bike rides. The beach on Lake Huron was so pretty! One day we shall return!

We’ve now stayed at all the provincial parks along the shores of Lake Huron and of them all, our favorites are Point Farms and MacGregor Point.
