Neys & Thunder Bay

NEYS PROVINCIAL PARK – JULY 2007

We left Sandbar Lake and travelled the Trans Canada Highway to Ney’s Provincial Park. Along the way we stopped at the Terry Fox Memorial. This was part of our 2007 trip to Manitoba. What a beautiful view of the Sleeping Giant! As well, we found a beautiful rest area with a lovely waterfall – Aquasabon Falls.

After that stop, we camped at Ney’s. We were so impressed with Ney’s. We hiked the “Under The Volcano Trail” while we stayed here. The trail skirted the shore of beautiful Lake Superior and along the way we found boats from the time when this park was a POW camp. Here are some photos of our stay here:

 

 

The scenery at Neys was unbelievable. We noticed hydro sites right along the beach and if we ever camp here again, we’ll try to book one. What a beautiful park! Here are some links:
