LAKE SUPERIOR PROVINCIAL PARK – AUGUST 2007

I would have to say that so far, of all the parks we’ve camped at, Agawa Bay is my favorite. True, I love Lake Superior and to me, nothing can compare to her majesty, but this park will always be held dear in my memory. We camped here on our way home from Manitoba in late July. Our site here was not very private,  but the view was just fantastic. We hiked the Agawa Pictograph Trail while we were here and watched a spectacular sunset over Lake Superior. Here are some pictures of the beach and our campsite:

After we hiked this trail we found a nice boat launch at Sinclair Cove. The water was so beautiful as was the beach. I though I was in the tropics. Here are some photos of an amazingly beautiful place:

Here are some other pictures taken of magnificient, beautiful Lake Superior:

Words cannot express how much I loved staying at Agawa Bay. Lake Superior Provincial Park was a very clean nicely run park with incredible scenery and a beautiful beach. The park itself is very large with interior lakes and many access points along Lake Superior. Hiking trails vary from short to long and difficult. I’m looking forward to camping here again someday and exploring this incredible park for a longer amount of time. Here are some links:
