CAMPARK RESORT & CAMPGROUND – AUGUST 2013

Campsite #146
We stayed at Campark Resort & Campground the long weekend in August. Our campsite was #146. This park is located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on Lundys Lane. There are a few campgrounds located in this area including a KOA . This park is about 15-20 minutes from the falls depending on traffic. We were invited to this park by a friend who stays here year round and runs the music and entertainment programs for the park. He invited our singersongwriter daughter to perform along with another musician friend of ours and his – Angela Siracusa. We arrived at the park on a Thursday and stayed until Monday night.
Our site was a back in with 3015 amp service, water and a sewer hookup on site. This was a nice change from our usual one or two service sites at other parks. It gave us a chance to use the flush out connection on the trailer and give our black tank a really good flush! Finally our tank reads empty! Our friends Angela & Ian stayed in their motorhome overnight in the site beside us. Here are some photos of the gang!
This park truly is a family park with hay rides offered throughout the weekend, a full playground area, pool, splash pad and salt water pool. Every Friday and Saturday night during the summer, our friend Marty hosts different music concerts and a rocking karaoke on Saturday nights. I’ve never been a fan of karaoke, but his really rocks! There are a lot of families at this park and they really enjoy the events. Here are some photos from the concert night:
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing with campfires, cold beer and friends. Marty celebrated a birthday on the weekend. My special birthday dinner consisted of pulled pork in a crock pot, corn on the cob over the campfire and a homemade birthday cake!
Campark is a wonderful park to camp at especially if you have a small kids. There is a fair bit to do here and a lot in the area of Niagara Falls. The park has numerous scheduled activities, ice cream and a kitchen that offers an awesome breakfast. The park is clean, well patrolled and very busy. Here are some photos of the park:
Campark has a variety of sites suitable for everything from tents to large motorhomes and trailers. There are a lot of three way pull thru sites both shaded and part shade. There is an on site laundry, showers and a section for seasonal sites as well. They even have cottages to rent here. If you’re looking for a place to just stop through on your way to Niagara Falls or a place for a longer stay in the area, I’d recommend this park. It’s especially great for parents with small children looking for a park with organized programs and lots for the kids to do.
